Welcome to Flora’s Stays at the Bamfield Inn, located in beautiful Bamfield, BC. By booking a room with us or using our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.


1. General Information

Accommodation Overview:  Flora’s Stays offers 24 rooms across 3 distinct buildings. Access to the properties, located on the West side of Bamfield, require a 5-minute boat ride across the inlet from the East side of Bamfield (if travelling by car).

Property Access: The road to Bamfield can be impacted by adverse weather, potentially affecting travel. We recommend checking conditions and purchasing travel insurance prior to your arrival.

Restaurant: We have a licensed restaurant on-site. Guests are expected to comply with all restaurant policies.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please respect these hours to ensure all guests enjoy a peaceful stay.


2. Cancellation Policy

  • Free Cancellation: You may cancel your booking up to 60 days before your scheduled check-in for a full refund.
  • 50% Refund: Cancellations made between 30 and 60 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of the total booking amount.
  • No Refund: Cancellations made within 30 days of check-in will not be refunded.

Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking. All cancellations must be processed through our online booking system.


3. Pet Policy

Pet-Friendly Accommodation: Pets are welcome for a $50 cleaning fee per pet per stay. Pets must remain leashed and supervised in public areas. Owners must clean up after their pets.

Pets Not to Be Left Unattended: Pets must not be left unattended in rooms. 

Damage Caused by Pets: Owners are liable for any pet-related damage, which will be charged to the credit card on file.


4. Taxes, Fees, and Additional Charges

Taxes: Applicable taxes, including GST, PST, and hotel tax, will be added to your booking.

Extra Person Rates: 

  • Adults: $50 per additional guest per night beyond double occupancy. Beyond 4 guests, the fee is waived.
  • Children (6–18): $30 per night.
  • Children under 5: Free.

Check-In/Check-Out: Early check-ins and late check-outs may be requested but are subject to availability. Additional charges may apply.

Room Equipment and Amenities:  Rooms do not have phones. Due to limited cell reception, we recommend enabling Wi-Fi calling with your provider before arrival.


5. Accessibility

General Accessibility Information: Due to our location, accessibility is limited. A boat ride is required, and some areas may not be fully accessible due to the rough terrain of the local roads.

Accessibility Features:

  • Motel & Restaurant: Ramps are available, and the restaurant has an accessible restroom.

Limitations:

  • Hotel Building: Stairs are necessary for access.
  • Motel rooms do not have fully accessible bathrooms (e.g., handrails, wide doorways).

Contact us to discuss accommodations for specific needs. We will make every effort to assist within our capabilities.


6. Smoking Policy

We are a smoke-free environment. Designated smoking areas are available on the property. Any non-compliance may result in fees to cover cleaning or other necessary measures.


7. Parking Information

Vehicle parking spaces are available for rent at $20 per night on the east side of Bamfield. Public parking is available across from the Hacas Inn, but spaces are extremely limited, especially during the busy summer season.
For guests requiring boat trailer parking, limited spaces are available at an additional $15 per night. Please reserve parking in advance to ensure availability.


8. Payment and Credit Card Information

Accepted Payment Methods: We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover).

Payment Security: All payment transactions are securely processed. By booking with us, you consent to the collection and storage of your credit/debit card information solely for the purpose of completing your booking and processing payments.

Credit Card Authorization: A valid credit card is required to guarantee the booking. Charges may include the room rate, taxes, additional fees, and any applicable damage charges.


9. Liability and Indemnity

Limitation of Liability: We are not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to personal property while on our premises, during your stay, or during boat transfers. By using our services, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claims arising from your stay.

Guest Responsibility: Guests are responsible for any damage or disturbances caused by themselves or their pets.


10. Website Use and Intellectual Property

Intellectual Property: Content on our website is protected by copyright laws. Reproduction without consent is prohibited.

Website Usage: Your use of our website signifies agreement with applicable laws. We may modify the site as needed.


11. Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your personal data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.


12. Consequences of Non-Compliance

Non-Compliance: Non-compliance may result in termination of your stay without a refund. Guests are liable for any damage to property, and charges will be applied accordingly.


13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.

Dispute Resolution: Disputes will be resolved through arbitration or mediation in British Columbia.


14. Damage to Property and Missing Items

Property Damage: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the room, property, or any on-site items during their stay. This includes, but is not limited to, damages to furniture, fixtures, walls, carpets, or any other physical assets belonging to Flora’s. We reserve the right to inspect rooms for damages after checkout.

Missing Items: Any items that are removed, lost, or damaged beyond repair from the room, common areas, or facilities will be considered the responsibility of the guest. The cost of replacing or repairing these items will be charged to the credit card on file.

Charge to Credit Card: By confirming your reservation, you agree that any damages or missing items identified after checkout will be charged to the credit card used to secure your booking. The charges will reflect the cost of repair, replacement, or cleaning, and will be applied at the discretion of Flora’s Collective.

Notification: You will be notified by email or phone of any charges applied to your card for damages or missing items, and you will have 7 days to dispute any charges in writing. After 7 days, the charges will be considered final.


15. Miscellaneous

Force Majeure: We are not liable for interruptions due to unforeseen events such as natural disasters or severe weather.

Modification of Terms: These Terms may be updated periodically and are effective immediately upon posting.
